Title: Senior Network Engineer
Ref.: SNE
Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for resolution of all levels of trouble tickets for enterprise and carriers as per SLA
- Customer notification of network maintenance and service affecting events and periodic updates to customers and internal stakeholders
- Creation & documentation of formal troubleshooting and service activation processes.
- Generate reports of network events, customer outages, and response times for management performance reviews.
- Document and diagnose underlying network architecture issues for submission to Engineering for problem resolution process.
- Provide feedback to engineering on improvements necessary for NMS, OSS to better support service delivery.
Requirements
- University graduate in Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunication or Computer Science from a reputable Engineering Institute.
- Ideal candidate will possess Certification’s equivalent to Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional (CCIP).
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in a telecommunications environment.
- Good communicator with a natural aptitude for dealing with people.
- Good network diagnostic skills,
- Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly.
- Very good understanding of SDH, PDH and IP/MPLS systems.
- Advanced understanding of Ethernet and IP networks including troubleshooting techniques.
- Good understanding of network, monitoring concepts and management tools.
