Job Title: Senior Registrar – Radiology

Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Registrar in Radiology to join our team. The Senior Registrar will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services, supervising junior radiology staff, and contributing to the academic and clinical development of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and interventional radiology.
  • Supervise and mentor junior radiology staff, including registrars and interns.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide radiological input for patient management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
  • Conduct and participate in clinical audits, research projects, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Participate in teaching and training programs for medical students, junior doctors, and radiology trainees.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and ensure compliance with medical documentation standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiology and integrate evidence-based practices into clinical care.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Registration with the relevant medical board or council.
  • Completion of specialty training and fellowship in Radiology.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Registrar in a radiology department.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and expertise in diagnostic and interventional radiology.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
