Job Title: Senior ROV Pilot/Technician
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract (Call Out Contractor – Nationals)
Job Overview
- We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior ROV Pilot/Technician to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) used in offshore projects.
- The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in underwater robotics, technical troubleshooting, and piloting ROVs in various challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Pilot and operate ROV systems during offshore projects.
- Perform technical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ROV equipment.
- Collaborate with offshore and onshore teams to ensure safe and efficient ROV operations.
- Conduct pre- and post-dive checks, ensuring ROV systems are in optimal working condition.
- Analyze and interpret video and sensor data collected by the ROV.
- Maintain accurate records of dive operations and ROV performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an ROV Pilot/Technician, preferably in offshore environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of ROV systems, electronics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Relevant certification in ROV operations and/or engineering (e.g., IMCA).
- Experience in subsea operations, including inspection, maintenance, and construction support.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with industry safety regulations and best practices.
