Job Title: Senior Sales Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  • This role falls under sales operations and reports into the Country Manager working day to day with sales team Based in Lagos, Nigeria
  • This is a sales role across our media and content products
  • Develop advertising sales strategies to drive content advertising and revenue
  • Produce media planning and response to brief documents
  • Drive digital advertising sales and revenue through direct client business
  • Identify, develop and maintain relationships with key digital advertising networks and agencies to drive advertising sales and revenue
  • Hit digital advertising sales targets and ensure your KPI’s are constantly met and exceeded
  • Partner with sales, branded content and production teams or suppliers to proactively & reactively prepare advertising sales opportunities that drive revenue
  • Work with clients for the execution of strategic plan to grow brand awareness/advocacy & drive incremental exposure their products while bringing brand DNA to life
  • Cultivate and develop consistent and ongoing relationships with new and current influencers via events and community engagement
  • Work with product partners (Goal, Adimo , Loopme, FI) to deliver vision, roadmap and operations in market
  • Plan brainstorm ideation meetings for proposal preparation & RFP responses in pre-sale phase of the sales process alongside sales team
  • Implement creation of proposals, including digital & content strategy
  • Package high-quality proposals and presentations that deliver multi-platform client focused solutions while leveraging media, promotional & activation concepts, social, and sponsorship opportunities
  • Work with a wide range of clients from a variety of categories including fashion, retail, luxury, jewelry/watch, beauty, tech, lifestyle, CPG, auto, spirits, and more
  • Develop and craft proposal and presentations that accurately deliver program opportunities with a compelling strategic marketing approach
  • Synthetize Branded Content, Editorial, Influencer, Experiential, Brand Marketing, and Planning thinking to craft effective and strategic program packages
  • Exhibit knowledge and understanding of new media, research, consumer insights and marketing trends
  • Manage stakeholder relationships within agencies and brand clients
  • Developing new product marketing & sales collateral
  • Liaising and providing input to product development/roadmap

 Additional Qualifications

  •  5+ years of total advertising experience required, with 4+ years of digital preferred
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivating attitude and ability to lead a team positively
  • Strong network of planning manager relationships across agencies and advertisers
  • Proven ability to build sales strategies and drive sales pipeline to closures, to consistently exceed revenue targets
  • Creative, open minded and able to ‘think outside the box’
  • High-energy and passionate self-starter with strong analytical skills who’s extremely comfortable
  • in fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment
  • Proven ability to solve customer problems and technical issues, pro-actively creating solutions through cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience in the media/adversting industry is an added advantage.
