Title: Service Desk Specialist

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate Access Reference for all activities to be carried on all managed sites.
  • Validate Access Reference for any/all proposed activities to be performed on managed sites.
  • Regular engagement with Project Management and other teams to ensure all special projects and emergency jobs gets approved Refs as fast as possible.
  • Engage with customers and teams to ensure all approved jobs are executed on schedule.
  • Notify stakeholders of approved Access Refs, approved planned activities for jobs to be performed on-site, i.e., active/passive.
  • Circulation of planned jobs performed on managed sites daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Circulation of access issues captured/logged on the Ticketing Tool for all managed sites.
  • Analyze and report all planned/unplanned/emergency jobs & activities performed on all managed sites, daily, weekly, and monthly.

Experience & Qualifications

  • B.Eng / BSc / HND in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Civil, Agric, Chemical, Petroleum Engineering, Computer Science, Physics Electronics, and other related field.
  • 1 – 3 years of hands-on experience in telecoms, tele-traffic environments, and customer relations.

Competencies:

  • Have relevant knowledge of Power supply equipment, i.e., ATS, Generator, Rectifier, etc.
  • Knowledge of alternative Energy/source of power will be an added advantage.
  • Must know how to use Network Management Tool.
  • Strong analytical thinking and creatively solving problems.
  • The individual needs to be flexible, able to work under pressure and to deadlines, well organized and professional with a real proactive attitude.
  • Candidate must possess good interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in time conscious environment.
  • Have relevant IT skills in MS Office applications.
  • Should be able to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and correctness.
  • Show willingness and ability to learn, improve and adapt if required.
