Job Overview
- We are seeking a highly creative and passionate Social Media Manager with a strong background in music to join our team.
- In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that increase brand awareness, engage with fans, and promote our music-related content across various platforms.
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the music industry, trends, and the digital landscape, combined with a knack for creating engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies that align with the company’s overall marketing and branding goals in the music industry.
- Manage and maintain social media accounts across platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and others.
- Create and curate engaging content, including text, images, videos, and live-streaming events, to drive user interaction and promote music releases, tours, and other events.
- Collaborate with artists, influencers, and other industry professionals to enhance brand presence and fan engagement.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance, using insights to optimize content and campaigns.
- Stay current on social media trends, music industry news, and emerging technologies to keep our content fresh and relevant.
- Develop and manage online communities, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Organize and execute social media campaigns to promote new music releases, events, and merchandise.
- Work with the creative team to ensure that visual content is on-brand and optimized for each platform.
- Foster relationships with music influencers, bloggers, and other key figures to grow brand exposure.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification with 2 – 4 years work experience.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, ideally in the music industry.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and tools, particularly those relevant to the music industry.
- Experience in creating content that resonates with music fans, including video, audio, and interactive elements.
- Knowledge of music culture, artists, and trends across various genres.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with social media analytics and tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar.
- A passion for music and a deep understanding of digital marketing strategies in the music industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
- Familiarity with streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and SoundCloud.
- Strong network within the music industry and knowledge of music marketing.
Salary
- N100,000 per month.
