Role Description

  • We are seeking a creative, metrics-driven social media manager to oversee our social media presence across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok. The social media manager will develop engaging content and execute strategies to grow our audience, improve engagement, support brand awareness, and generate leads.

Requirements

  • Create graphic and video contents using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, Capcut and other tools
  • Monitor social media metrics and analytics, run paid advertising campaigns, contests, promotions and also use social media management tools.
  • Generate new ideas and innovative approaches to engage the audience, manage platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube

Core Responsibilities

  • Create, curate, and manage daily content across social platforms that engages our target audiences
  • Execute social strategies and campaigns in alignment with marketing and business goals
  • Monitor trends and stay on top of latest tools and innovations in social media
  • Manage and optimize paid social advertising campaigns
  • Track performance analytics and generate reports to derive insights and optimize efforts
  • Monitor social channels for comments, questions and feedback
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrated campaigns

Requirements
Qualifications of an ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 2+ years experience in social media management role
  • Excellent writing, communication, creative, and analytical skills
  • In-depth knowledge of major social platforms and management tools
  • Experience with paid social advertising and campaign optimization
  • Ability to derive insights from social data to inform strategies
  • Passion for social media best practices and innovation
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills
  • Experience in the African economic landscape and/or social entrepreneurship is a plus

Preferred:

  • Experience in tech industry
  • Graphic design, video production or editing skills
  • Knowledge of SEO and content best practices
  • Influencer marketing experience
  • Relevant social media certifications
