Title: Social Media Manager
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition.
- Create and curate compelling content tailored for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more.
- Manage and monitor social media accounts, which includes scheduling and publishing posts, responding to comments and messages, and engaging with the audience.
- Analyze social media metrics and generate reports to measure campaign effectiveness, making data-driven decisions for improvement.
- Stay informed about the latest trends, best practices, and emerging platforms in social media marketing to ensure the company’s social media presence remains innovative and relevant.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and design, to align social media efforts with the overall brand strategy.
- Keep an eye on industry conversations, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
- Utilize social media advertising platforms, such as Facebook Ads Manager, to create and manage paid social media campaigns.
- Establish and maintain relationships with influencers and brand advocates to leverage their reach and enhance brand visibility.
- Stay updated on legal and ethical guidelines for social media marketing to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc./HND) and Master’s degree (M.Sc.) from a recognized university in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in social media marketing, digital marketing, or social media management.
- 5 to 7 years of work experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing social media platforms for businesses, preferably in the FMCG, Retail, and FINTECH industries, and in a similar capacity.
- A strong portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns, content creation, and community management.
Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to create compelling content, engage with the audience, and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, their functionalities, and best practices for content creation, posting, and engagement.
- Graphic design and UI/UX skills are considered an added advantage.
- Analytical mindset to interpret social media metrics, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns.
- Creativity and the ability to think outside the box to develop innovative and engaging social media campaigns.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple social media platforms, schedules, and campaigns simultaneously.
- Familiarity with social media management tools, analytics platforms, and advertising platforms.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and how they apply to social media content and strategies.
- Customer service orientation to respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Crisis management skills to handle negative feedback, manage online reputation, and address customer concerns effectively.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain brand consistency across all social media channels.
