Description
- We are looking for a young graduate to join our Internship program which in a short period would build the capacity to function as a permanent Associate with the responsibilities highlighted below.
Purpose of Job
- Testing the functionality and useability of new or existing software and ensuring it is bug-free before it goes live. To work closely with the developers, providing feedback on what needs improvement in order to produce top-quality programs that exceed customers’ expectations. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. You also must be competent in executing test cases and be passionate about quality,
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze system specifications.
- Collaborate with developers for effective strategies and test plans.
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
- Evaluate product code according to specifications.
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
- Report bugs and errors to development teams.
- Help troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum HND Degree or higher in any field, however, with a background software development.
Nice to have:
- Experience in SDLC and QA testing and other similar roles.
- Experience in project management and QA methodology.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
- Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and SQL.
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
