Title: Supply Chain Rep – Pharmacist

Location: Lagos

Job Overview:

  • This role demands a blend of supply chain expertise and strategic business development acumen, with a strong emphasis on fieldwork and relationship management.
  • You will be instrumental in expanding our reach, enhancing our platform’s utility, and driving significant business growth by leveraging our flagship product, eMedicStore to enhance accessibility to healthcare products and services.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and potential vendors, ensuring compliance with eMedicStore standards and procedures.
  • Conduct extensive travel (up to 75%) for fieldwork, networking, and partnership development.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end supply chain process for pharmaceutical products.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies in line with the company’s objectives.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Utilize supply chain softwares and systems for tracking and managing operations.
  • Spearhead the continuous onboarding of vendors partners onto the eMedicStore platform, aiming for large-scale sign-ups into the ecosystem.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to avoid stockouts and overstocks.
  • Oversee the distribution process to ensure timely and efficient delivery to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical and supply chain regulations.
  • Develop relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Manage a team of procurement and supply chain specialists.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies in the supply chain process.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all supply chain transactions.
  • Ensure quality control measures are implemented and adhered to.
  • Prepare and present supply chain performance reports to senior management.
  • Conduct regular audits to evaluate the efficiency of supply chain operations.
  • Implement cost-reduction strategies within the supply chain process.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in pharmaceutical supply chain management.
  • Participate in strategic planning and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure sustainability in all supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to optimize the digital sales process.
  • Provide professional advice on the safe use of medications to customers.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure online environment for customers.
  • Advocate for patient adherence to medication plans and provide necessary support.
  • Participate in training and development initiatives.
  • Support company objectives and contribute to team efforts.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; licensed and registered pharmacist in Nigeria.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a digital healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in vendor management, negotiations, and strategic partnerships.
  • High proficiency in digital technologies and systems relevant to e-commerce and healthcare.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building and nurturing professional relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare and pharmaceutical landscape in Nigeria.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility for extensive travel within Nigeria and remote work arrangements.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical industry.
