1). Class Teacher/Literacy Teacher

Location: Ejigbo, Lagos

Description

  • We are seeking the expertise of an upper primary teacher.
  • If you are proactive, committed, firm, diligent, and computer literate (must have a working computer) does apply.

Roles and Responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities as a Class Teacher/Literacy teacher shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate pupils’ understanding and applying concepts.
  • Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes.
  • Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons.
  • Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning.
  • Grading assignments and quizzes promptly.
  • Invigilating quizzes and final examinations.
  • Documenting and reporting on pupils’ progress.
  • Attending meetings with parents and staff.
  • Preparing pupils for their internal and external examination, etc.

Qualifications /Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in education or related field
  • Expertise in any field (Literacy Preferred)
  • Experience teaching in an upper primary classroom environment (at least 3 years taking common entrance)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all staff and colleagues
  • Flexibility and high adaptation skills to work successfully in an unpredictable school setting
  • Organization and communication skills
  • Computer Skills.

3). Teacher Assistant Nursery/Primary

Location: Lagos

Job Summary:

  • Townfield School needs passionate and dedicated Teacher Assistants to join their educational institution. Their job involves teaching as well as helping students develop foundational skills in reading and writing. They create lesson plans and assess student progress, provide individualized support when needed, and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

LocationEjigbo, Lagos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing teaching materials, setting up the classroom, and managing classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may need extra help with assignments.
  • Help Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment, including supervising students during activities and transitions.
  • Assist in grading assignments and maintaining students’ records.
  • Provide support to students with special needs, following the teacher’s guidance and individualized Education Plans if applicable.
  • Act as a liaison between the teacher, students, and parents, relaying information and updates.
  • Monitor students during lunch, recess, or field trips to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as photocopying, organizing materials, and maintaining classroom cleanliness.
  • Attend relevant training or workshops to improve skills and stay updated on educational practices

JOB QUALIFICATION

  • A minimum of an SSCE  or NCE
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Teacher assistants should be patient and understanding when working with students, especially those who may need extra support
  • Keeping classroom materials and activities organized is important
