Job Summary

• The Team Lead for Technology Listings holds a specialized position with responsibilities that include overseeing “The Exchange’s” strategic presence in the Tech/Fintech ecosystem. They work directly with clients to understand their needs and provide guidance on accessing private capital within a reputable framework. The Team Lead for Technology Listings conducts industry and market research to enhance the NGX Technology Board initiative, focusing on private market value proposition, onboarding market intermediaries, issuers, and liquidity providers to foster market growth.

Responsibilities

• Analyze trends in the tech market to enhance the NGX Technology Board’s value proposition.
• Develop and manage essential business relationships and partnerships within the tech market ecosystem, including capital market intermediaries, private equity, and venture capital.
• Engage in business development and originate deals related to private capital formation, market adoption, and financial transaction closures.
• Create and present internal proposals for approval by the Investment Committee, Executive Management, and the Board.
• Negotiate, structure, and complete regulatory and KYC documentation for clients, liquidity providers, and market intermediaries.
• Drive deal origination, marketing, and advocacy initiatives within the Primary Markets department and Capital Markets division.
• Provide strategic input for the development, enhancement, and innovation of NGX’s Primary Markets products and services to align with market needs.
• Foster and maintain trusted relationships with leadership and executives of Tech & Fintech companies, unlisted companies, and growth companies within Nigeria and beyond.
• Manage a P & L responsibility and contribute to departmental revenue goals and the overall budget of the Capital Markets division.
• Offer support to the Head of Primary Markets and handle any other assigned responsibilities.

Person Specification & Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, Banking, or a related numerate discipline from a recognized institution.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in Investment Banking, Consulting/Advisory roles, or related industries (Capital Markets/Financial Services).
• An MBA, professional certifications, and other relevant postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
• Experience in the financial sector, financial consulting/advisory, deal origination, private and venture capital, and business development.
• Proven experience as a Technology Associate or a similar role.
• Demonstrated innovation, creativity, and the ability to identify business opportunities and structure financial transactions.
