Overview
- We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Treasury Manager to oversee the treasury functions at our microfinance bank.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing liquidity, funding, and financial risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing our financial resources to support the bank’s strategic goals.
Core Duties
- Liquidity Management: Monitor and manage the bank’s daily cash position. Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and funds available for investment. Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet the bank’s operations. Risk Management: Identify, measure, and manage financial risks, including interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, and credit risk.

- Investment Management: Manage the bank’s investment portfolio, ensuring optimal returns while adhering to risk parameters. Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities.
- Funding and Capital Management: Develop and implement strategies for funding and capital management. Maintain relationships with financial institutions and manage short-term and long-term borrowing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to liquidity and treasury functions. Prepare and submit regulatory reports on time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CTP) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management techniques.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in treasury management, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.

- Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements related to treasury functions in the banking sector.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and modelling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
