1). Workshop Manager

Description
- As the Workshop Manager, you will deploy and retire physical assets operated at terminals, ports and harbors and be responsible for delivering operational excellence in the lifecycle management of our assets so we can deliver on the promise to our customers in the most cost-efficient way.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership:
- Ensure that all HSSE policies are enforced and drive safety culture.
- Manage workshop team effectively to ensure KPI and budgetary targets are met.
- Part of the overall Site management team and assists with strategic decisions.
- Identify and upskill talent.
- Shares knowledge and skills.
- Ensure the training and development plan is achieved.
- Manages quality through discipline and consequence management.
- Ability to work across all levels of staff.
- Complete twice year performance appraisals on all workshop staff and stores.
Operations:
- Plans and optimizes efficiencies within the Workshop.
- Find synergies with a view to improve productivity across all departments.
- Implement and manage workflow within the Workshop.
- Optimizes available resources and assigns tasks accordingly to ensure the KPI and targets are met.
- Removal of waste out of the production process including rework of container repairs
- Ensure that all assets are maintained.
- Identify potential problems at an early stage to ensure contingencies are put in place to allow business and service to our customers to be conducted without interruptions.
- Monitor operational performance and propose corrective action.
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of the Visual Management System
- Manage and oversee the workshop stores and stock
The Customer:
- Attends to and adheres to the clients Service Level Agreements and quality standards
- Manage customer expectations
- Ongoing communication with internal and external customers Attend all customer meetings as required
- Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer complaints.
Who we are Looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other relevant fields

- Experience in Project Management

2). HSE Supervisor

Description
- As a HSE Supervisor under the guidance of the HSE Business Partner/HSE Manager, you will be responsible for the routine delivery of all HSE policies, practices and operations for the HSE function within APM Terminals, Apapa.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned, developed, Implemented and audit the company HSSE management framework and HSSE standards and culture in offices, Depots and warehouses.
- Manage all HSSE matters within the country (especially depots operation and Whs) in accordance to corporate, global and regional standards.
- Plan and execute HSSE training and awareness within assigned locations by using a TNA approach.
- Develop documentation based on HSSE management framework and periodically review and audit the documentation, Support area HSSE to produce area HSSE audit for your scope.
- Conducts, update HSSE risk profile and risk assessments and ensure risk reduction measures are undertaken and facilitate risk workshops.
- Investigate and report timely all HSSE incidents including learning packs and ensure incident corrective actions are followed up and closed.
- Audit vendors based on company requirement and follow-up to ensure adequate performance.
- Implement business continuity plan and ensure life cycle is followed up and BCM audited and updated with BCM centre team.
- Track and monitor all new investment project and provide support for any new business by raising HSSE section for BC cases and follow up until go live and ensure 6 months HSSE assurance on new projects.
- Implement and develop at the country level all health & safety, security, business continuity management and crisis management tasks.
- To provide support to the operation by maintaining a visible presence in site and providing HSSE technical support.
- Implement critical control point and especially the visual control points to ensure safe operation on the site and yards.
- Identify, Implement and audit all applicable HSSE legislation and applicable standards, to ensure compliance.
- Develop and audit country HSSE Management Plan in line with the area and region strategy for operation, project to ensure a safe work environment for all site employees, contractors, visitors, and community.
- Ensure maintenance and availability of critical safety equipment and devices in line with law requirements.
- Support the Area HSSE Manager for any other related tasks.
Requirements
Who we are looking for:
- HSE Certifications (NEBOSH IGC & ISPON Certified)
- Technical member of IOSH (TechIOSH)
- Minimum 5 years experience in HSE
- Good communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of container terminal operational activities
- Effective negotiation, conflict resolution and strong influencing skills
- Ability to provide leadership, obtain cooperation and assistance to meet objectives
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with driving experience (manual transmission)
