  • The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for the buying process for the division.
  • Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.
  • Positions requiring thorough understanding and application of approaches, theories, methodologies, and application in a concrete organizational context.

Responsibilities
As Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Working on PO request, requesting quotes, approving PO’s fulfillment, and vendor on- boarding, working with requesters to obtain additional information and to attend to the business needs within expected timeline.
  • Procurement for Direct materials product and services.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
  • Developing & executing of the strategic sourcing actions to drive cost saving projects by working closely with the Sourcing Manager and the entire team.
  • Advising Functional managers regarding projects, processes, and procedures in the own field.
  • Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
  • Understanding stakeholders’ needs and communicating sourcing policy around the region​.
  • Leading contract negotiations/key projects, engaging with key stakeholders.
  • Contributing to project as a team member or leads small projects.
  • Driving 100% compliance of all Sourcing policies including Know Your Supplier (KYS), No PO No Pay, Bidding, etc.
  • Partnering with sourcing quality to drive supplier quality, compliance and risk mitigation, including execution of regional Supplier Social Responsibility Program (SSRP), utilization of key Sourcing tools (iSupplier, e-invoice, etc.)

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Degree in any related course.
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience as a Sourcing/Procurement Specialist.
  • Have additional experience in Buying-Procurement role.
  • Have some knowledge of a manufacturing environment.
  • Have sound negotiating skills.
  • Have good IT knowledge using a variety of software tools including Excel, Power Point and MRP systems (such as Oracle and Ariba).

Bringing Technology to life:

  • Coordinates and oversees work at the field site, providing quality service to the customer. Job role may include job design, execution, and follow up activities.

As an Aero Turbine Field Specialist – Turbo Machinery and Process Solutions, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing in autonomy some of the Installation and/or Maintenance activities of TPS Aeroderivative gas turbine – LM2500/LM2500+, TM6000, and other Rotating equipment in the Field at Customer Site.
  • Performing minor/major maintenance of equipment following the TPS Service Site Quality Check Lists and procedures.
  • Providing activities records accomplished at Customer Site to the Baker Hughes TPS Supervisor and promotes and maintains good team relations.
  • Providing Technical supervision and advisory service to Working with the Customer Representatives and Site Team to coordinate activities at the Customer Job Site.
  • Executing all required responsibilities safely by following all TPS Service applicable processes and procedures.
  • Providing expert limited troubleshooting on the equipment under maintenance and/or installation in the Field.
  • Conducting all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality and Compliance).
  • Performing other related duties as required according to the specified scope of work.

Requirements
To be successful in this role you will must:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. and solid experience in mechanical service engineering on Turbomachinery.
  • Have a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate (please indicate clearly on resume)
  • Have at least 8 years’ experience mainly specialized in LM2500/LM2500+, TM/LM6000, LM9000 rotating equipment.

Capable of carrying out the following activities without supervision:

  • Level 1 activities on PGT25/LM2500/2500+/LM6000/LM9000
  • Level 2 activities (HSE),
  • Level 3 activities (GG changeout or PT Changeout)
  • Be able to perform in autonomy some of the Installation and/or Maintenance activities of TPS Rotating equipment in the Field at Customer Sites.
  • Be able to provide the planning necessary for the job including instructions to the crew and equipment used.
  • Demonstrate Industry experience and Turbo Machinery and Process Solutions product line training.
  • Must have Excellent Functional / Technical, Customer Focus, Communication, Interpersonal, and Team working Skills.
  • Capable to work offshore
  • Be able to be flexible with working patterns and shift rotations.
  • Be able to travel flexibly, at short notice and be away from your home location for undefined periods of time up to 70%.
