1). Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing of suppliers / vendor invoices for payment
  • Maintaining the creditors’ schedule
  • Ensure daily/weekly collection of Bank statements and   confirmation of cheques
  • Manage all forms of payment (internet banking, Remita, interswitch etc)
  • Keeping the financials documents organized and filed
  • Detect and eliminate errors in payment request
  • Confirm all retirement before another cash advance is processed for a staff
  • Ensure posting of items received by the store into appropriate Trade Creditor’s account
  • Verify all intercompany transactions across businesses – review and sign off on all intercompany transactions across the divisions
  • Confirm on monthly basis that charges on COT and Interest are in line with the agreed rate.
  • Perform any other related duties from time to time

Educational Qualifications / Experience

  • Minimum of University Degree or HND Accounting, Finance or related discipline

2). Risk Officer

Job Purpose

  • To design, implement and co-ordinate compliance activities across the business to assure compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures, rule and regulation as well as statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities include
Risk & Quality Monitoring:

  • Ensure and monitor store compliance to Company policies, procedures and systems
  • Monitor the implementation of internal audit recommendations to ensure the satisfactory resolution of identified significant issues
  • Conduct OSC – Operations Standard Compliance on stores to ensure compliance to store standards
  • Ensure follow up on gaps identified Monitor the implementation of internal audit recommendations to ensure the satisfactory resolution of identified significant issues
  • Ensure and monitor company’s compliance to statutory requirements.
  • Ensure timely filling of all statutory documents to respective government agencies

Reporting & Recommendations:

  • Proactively identify trends and issues from audit findings and formulate recommendations for improving compliance and addressing identified weaknesses/gaps across all locations/markets in which the company operates
  • Report on company’s compliance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SEC, NAFDAC , Government Agencies, etc.
  • Develop and maintain the company’s Quality Management system, ensuring full compliance with its guidelines and a consolidated uniform approach across the company
  • Report variance and ensure proper follow up

Requirements

  • A good First Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role is required
  • Membership of the ICAN, CITN, ACCA, CIS or any other related professional qualification is an added advantage.

Job Objectives

  • Responsible for providing legal support to the company and supporting the company secretary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Authentication of documents
  • Filing of Statutory Returns to the Corporate Affairs Commission
  • Maintaining the Statutory Registers of the Company
  • Arranging of meetings (Board, AGM, EGM, Committee Meetings); Issuing Notices & Agenda
  • Assisting with the drafting and circulation of the minutes of meetings
  • Managing relations and correspondence with external Legal Advisers
  • Managing litigation portfolio of the Company
  • Managing Trademarks Portfolio of the Company
  • Managing Lease/Property Portfolio of the Company
  • Conduct Searches at the Lands’ Registry; Preparation of Lease Agreements
  • Preparation of Franchise Agreements
  • Managing Stock Options and Employee Staff Trust
  • Managing corporate communication
  • Assisting the HR in the preparation of Employees’ Agreements
  • Ensuring compliance with the Company’s Memart and other statutory and regulatory requirements
