Key Purpose

  • The key purpose of this role is to develop communication and advocacy strategies that are aligned with business objectives and also anticipate challenges, protect, enhance reputation and manage dialogue with stakeholders.

Key Outputs and Responsibilities
Lead the Corporate Affairs Functions:
Develop the Corporate Affairs Strategic Plan and Goals:

  • Reputation and licence to trade risk factors proactively identified
  • Internal and External stakeholders’ expectations and perception monitored to ensure alignment of the plan.

Manage the Implementation of the Corporate affairs Plan and Goals:

  • Team and Individual goals agreed and implemented
  • Provide proactive leadership to deliver high performance and achieve functional goals.
  • Corporate affairs initiatives integrated with other business activities to optimise synergies.

Safeguard Compliance with Corporate Affairs ways & policies implementation:

  • Corporate affairs policies to ensure consistent governance in the business.
  • Implement responsible alcohol way to ensure consistency with group practices in the local business.

Guide Business Thinking and Practice to Achieve Integrated Reputation Management:

  • Stakeholder expectations and perceptions closely monitored with objectives to identify potential gaps and reputation risks.
  • Internal and External stakeholder relationships, the media and internal communications leveraged to build, manage and enhance reputation

Build Business Capability in Alcohol Responsibility and Sustainable Development:
Build a culture of alcohol responsibility:

  • Leadership role in response around alcohol responsibility.
  • Monitor internal stakeholder commitment to implement responsible alcohol way
  • External stakeholder engaged to constructively debate alcohol issues and build networks and partnership.
  • Source information on regulatory and excise environment and evaluate potential business impact.

Know the local market, legal and regulatory environment:

  • Knowledge of the role of government and pressures it exerts on the industry.
  • Local regulations explained to create a platform for guiding local management decisions and actions.

Lead and manage Corporate Social Investment:

  • CSI plans which reflects local priorities and leverages community and business advantages developed and aligned with overall business and strategic plan.

Profile
Educational Qualification:

  • Minimum of first degree in Social Sciences or Humanities

Experience:

  • 4-5 years experience in similar role
  • Membership of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (Legally mandatory and compulsory for any corporate affairs practitioner in Nigeria).
  • Knowledge of the media
  • People management practices

2). Packaging Machine Specialist

Key Purpose

  • The key purpose of this role is to maintain, calibrate, repair equipment, optimise Packaging equipment and associated devices to ensure availability and product quality.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
Operational Support:

  • Provide specialist support to the shift-based teams during operations.
  • Assist as functional expert in problem solving.
  • This must be undertaken in support of the Process Artisan Where requested, provide guidance and advice to the shift-based teams on mechanical equipment, mechanical fault-finding and correct responses to mechanical failure modes

Planned Maintenance:

  • Take part in maintenance planning meeting, contributing suggestions and clarifying work required
  • Carry out work during the planned maintenance window in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule issued by the planner
  • Partake in maintenance post-mortems to feedback problems, opportunities and learnings from maintenance activities

Routine Maintenance:

  • Partake in cleaning, lubrication and inspection in accordance with the maintenance schedule issued by the Maintenance Planner
  • Carry out routine maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance schedule
  • Where problems have been uncovered during routine maintenance, these must be resolved using the appropriate problem-solving techniques.

Running Repairs:

  • On request, partake in carrying out running repairs on plant and equipment, or support the Shift Artisans in carrying out repairs
  • When carrying out repairs, assess the problem and determine a course of action
  • Complete the administration tasks relating to any running repairs that the Technician has carried out as per SAP requirements

Problem Solving:

  • Where problems have occurred during routine activities, apply the correct problem-solving approach to resolve
  • Where required, call in additional resources to assist in problem solving or escalate to the Engineering Controller for direction
  • Assist fellow team members to resolve problems on request Take part in FFA’s on request

Improvement:

  • Improve SWI’s, SOP’s and maintenance tasks on an ongoing basis as issues arise to ensure that the loop is closed out to prevent issues arising.

Housekeeping and Safety:

  • Always operate in a safe manner, identify and highlight unsafe work practices so that these may be corrected
  • Carry out work according to the work instructions and adhere to appropriate ABInBev policies and procedures
  • Carry out housekeeping tasks, and apply 4S principles during the execution of duties

Minimum Requirements

  • HND/B.Eng or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum of 3-5 years as Process Artisans or Maintenance Artisan on high speed packing lines
  • Computer Literate.
  • Systemic and Analytical problem-solver
  • Good leadership Potential
  • Good understanding of modern maintenance practices and maintenance system
  • Influencing ability with regards to sound maintenance
  • Good knowledge of the Packaging production processes and technologies
