1). Service Fulfillment & Support Engineer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Employment Type: Permanent

Business Division: Technical Operations – Value Delivery

Reporting to: Team Lead, Service Fulfillment & Support
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Purpose of the Job

  • Improve SLAs with customers by reducing MTTR, and enhancing overall service delivery.

Key Deliverables:

  • Restore service failures within specified timeframes for Corporate and Retail Customers.
  • Implement and integrate new projects promptly.
  • Communicate incident management updates into the OTRS Application.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on network nodes/segments.
  • Engage in presale engineering activities, including bid document preparation.
  • Manage and submit weekly support status reports.
  • Provide backend support for integrating new customers into the network.
  • Ensure timely delivery and completion of assigned projects.
  • Draft project implementation plans for new projects.
  • Manage pre-installation procedures and actual installation, integration, and maintenance of microwave radio links.
  • Maintain inventory to prevent stock-outs of tools and materials.

Demonstrate (Key Competencies):

  • Technical Site Survey on fiber & microwave radio platforms.
  • Implementation and integration of new projects.
  • FTTH implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Collaboration with related departments, partners, and vendors for network performance.
  • Evaluation of user needs, systems, and new technologies for effective communication and transmission systems.
  • Research and evaluation of network/systems, performance capacity, and compatibility with existing systems.
  • Installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of network equipment and operating systems.

Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills

  • Academic: BEng in Computer Engineering, BEng in Electrical Electronics, or any IT-related degree (2.2/Upper Credit Minimum).
  • Professional: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional).

Functional Skills:

  • Customer-centric and stakeholder management.
  • LAN/WAN network design and implementation.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, RIP).
  • Installation and configuration of core network devices.
  • Use of network monitoring/optimization devices.
  • Understanding of base station power supply architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with IP Routing, MPLS, QOS, VPN, DMVPN.
  • Knowledge and experience with network security (IPSec Firewalls).
  • Experience with OSPF and BGP.
  • Experience with wireless Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint technologies.
  • Strong telecommunication transmission skills (Optical and wireless).
  • IP Network Troubleshooting.
  • Excellent customer interface, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to follow multiple simultaneous projects to completion.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry for at least 2 years.

2). Network Support Engineer

Location: Lagos

Work Schedule: Shift

Purpose of the Job (Brief)

  • Provide first-level off-site technical support for all ipNX services, including Voice, Data connectivity, Internet services, Wimax services, etc. Consistently deliver a high level of excellent customer service and support, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities (Deliverables)

  • Incident Management (First Call Resolution)
  • Manage service request life-cycle: receive, log, and take ownership of all general service requests, progressing to resolution.
  • Respond to faults, providing timely, complete, and accurate resolution to customer inquiries via email, phone, or web calls.
  • Monitor and escalate based on SLAs, coordinating with other teams as necessary to resolve customer issues within contracted SLAs.
  • Proactively monitor all ipNX-owned and installed network elements in corporate customers’ premises.
  • Ensure prompt response to inbound calls and emails.
  • Follow up on unresolved complaints/open tickets to closure.
  • Timely escalation/feedback to relevant units.
  • Liaise with clients on updates of progress on service requests and incidents reports.
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Produce periodic error-free service reports.
  • Generate outage, fault, and utilization reports, along with cause analysis/reason for outage reports.

Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills

  • B.Sc / B.Eng in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical-Electronics Engineering (2.2/Upper Credit at minimum).
  • CCNA, CCNP (Desired).
  • Strong telecommunications, IP design skills, and in-depth knowledge of IP Networks.
  • Excellent business communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Work Experience:
  • Hands-on experience with IP Routing, MPLS, QOS, VPN.
  • Knowledge and experience with network security (IPSec Firewalls) is desirable.
  • Experience with Wireless Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint technologies is desirable.
  • Excellent customer interface, analytical, and presentation skills
