1). Group Chief Strategy Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We seek an individual with a strong Global Business Knowledge, and an experience in Strategy Formulation and Execution, Business Performance Management, Change Management, and an ability to apply conceptual thinking in driving strategic decision amongst other areas listed:

Responsibilities

  • Articulate the Group’s mission in clear and concise terms that can speak to stakeholders across the Group;
  • Develop an inclusive strategy and strategic plans by collaborating with Leadership across the Group.
  • Collaborate with the subsidiary CEOs and other business leaders, special committees and consultants to execute strategies;
  • Create actionable goals across Group that make it possible to turn our mission into tangible results;
  • Engage in ongoing analyses of market dynamics, market share changes, product line performance and competitive intelligence to protect market position or create new markets;
  • Identify key capital projects, joint ventures, and other strategic partnership opportunities in line with agreed go-to market strategies and growth plans;
  • Ensure suitable metrics are in place to measure performance and progress across the Group;
  • Collaborate with Executive Management across the Group and its subsidiaries to devise effective short- and long-term plans and develop KPIs in line with business objectives;
  • Align project prioritisation with Group goals;
  • Lead the organisation’s approach to measurement and evaluation with a focus on creating effective organisational dashboards for achieving impact;
  • Coordinate all Project Management activities across the Group;
  • Engage external business and industry experts to learn and influence business strategies, constantly remaining alert and forward-thinking about opportunities and risks in the industry;

Person Specification & Required Qualification(s)

  • B.Sc. Degree / HND from a reputable institution;
  • An MBA or any other relevant Degree is an added advantage;
  • Professional qualifications / certifications; CFA, ACA, FCA, CIS, CIBN, is an added advantage;
  • A minimum of ten (10) years cognate experience is required, with at least 5 years experience in a Senior Management role in a Group/Holding structure;
  • A visionary with a deep knowledge of what is required to lead the Strategy Function in a Group/Holding Company (HoldCo);
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with small, medium and large businesses and communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences;
  • Must possess strong working knowledge of management strategies, project management, human resource planning, business performance management, technology, and the core businesses of the respective subsidiaries;
  • Must be able to multitask with research, projects, analysis as well as interpret data effectively for decision making;
  • An articulate, confident, and excellent communicator.

2). Executive Assistant

Job Summary

  • The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the CEO’s office by preparing reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, efficient filing system, and scheduling meetings.

Responsibilities
Arranging & Managing Meetings:

  • Co-ordinate regular and irregular meetings.
  • Collate and distribute papers prior to meetings.
  • Ensure all materials for meetings are prepared in a timely manner.
  • Accurate dictation and note taking at meetings as required.
  • Ensure minutes are taken and written for Management & Exco meetings and despatched by the end of same week.
  • Produce and distribute documents from the CEOs office.
  • Diary Management
  • Responsible for managing diaries for meeting schedules.
  • Arrange meetings and keep diaries constantly up-to-date.
  • Ensure appointments requested are noted in diary provisionally and checked with CEO before confirming.
  • Liaise with protocol to ensure all flights, hotel accommodation are arranged for all local and international trips

General Administration:

  • Implement and maintain an efficient filing system
  • First point of contact for visitors and provide refreshments as and when required
  • Ensure maintenance of a working environment that yields productivity and furnishes essential office supplies.
  • Monitors CEO’s office operations.
  • Serve as go-to person for all enquiries around the CEOs office.
  • Track office supply inventory.

Post & E-Mails:

  • Manage mail (physical & email) inflows.
  • Deal with correspondences and emails efficiently and to a high standard

Relationship Management:

  • Maintain and manage clients contacts list .
  • Manage employee appointments for CEO.
  • Maintain and manage any other key contacts required of the Executive Assistant.

Project Management:

  • Keep track of deliverables arising from projects directly monitored from CEOs office
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong decision making ability and attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills:

  • Ability to interact with staff members (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.
  • Excellent innovation and creativity skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills together with the ability to think on your feet.

Person Specification & Required Qualification(s)

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised institution.
  • 3 – 5 years Post qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Membership of professional body is an advantage e.g. ICSAN.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, D365 and Outlook.
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong decision making ability and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact with staff members (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.
