1). Bids and Tender Manager

Job Description
- We are currently in search of a proficient and well-informed bid manager to join our dynamic team. As a bid manager, your role will involve identifying potential bid submission opportunities, devising winning bid strategies, conducting thorough research, crafting and submitting technical and commercial bids and proposals, engaging in negotiations with stakeholders, taking the lead in procurement activities when required, and collaborating closely with team members to ensure successful bid outcomes. Your ability to create compelling proposals while adhering to budgetary constraints and deadlines is paramount.
- Ideal candidates should possess a robust comprehension of the upstream oil and gas industry, demonstrate technical expertise, and exhibit effective communication and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for bid submissions.
- Prepare and submit competitive technical and commercial bids.
- Conduct comprehensive research and brainstorm key elements to incorporate into bids.
- Strategically source resources to bolster bid proposals.
- Craft persuasive and detailed proposals.
- Assess risks and address issues and concerns judiciously.
- Ensure the punctual fulfillment of all bid deadlines by collaborating with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor all costs and manage budgets diligently.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and senior personnel.
- Conduct team briefings upon securing bids.
- Review RFQ/RFP received from existing or prospective clients, manage task assignments based on priorities.
- Lead bid overview meetings with sales managers, technical consultants, and operations to establish bid strategy and preparation guidelines.
- Oversee the renewal of all supplier and partner agreements and contracts.
- Supervise all internal and external communication to ensure prompt responses to daily tasks and assignments.
- Monitor all ordering activities with suppliers/vendors to meet delivery deadlines, enhance overall margins, and align with the company’s profit plan.
- Engage in price and contract negotiations to secure competitiveness and commercial advantages.
- Provide support to the finance department regarding invoicing-related matters to prevent payment delays from clients.
- Manage the procurement process effectively.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of a 2nd Class Upper.
- PMP certification is considered an advantage.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in bids and tenders, project procurement, and contract execution within key industries, at the managerial level.
- Substantial experience in compiling and submitting competitive and successful technical and commercial bids for upstream activities related to drilling services, engineering services, technical assistance, and other relevant upstream engineering services.
- Profound experience in preparing NIPEX-level bids.
- Strong background in the sourcing process.
Knowledge:
- A solid understanding of NURPC, NIPEX, and NCDMB licensing and permitting processes.
- Relevant training and certifications in bids, tenders, procurement, and supply chain management are advantageous.
- Excellent industry knowledge and a commitment to staying current with industry trends.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Job Summary
- The candidate will assume the responsibility of spearheading sales and marketing initiatives, revenue generation, organizational registration with various clients, research endeavors, vendor selection, and vendor management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Cultivate relationships with potential clients to foster new business prospects.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of prospective clients.
- Initiate cold outreach efforts to unearth new business opportunities.
- Assist in composing compelling new business proposals.
- Stay well-informed about all the products and services offered by the company.
- Adhere to company protocols and procedures for customer acquisition, tender submissions, and related activities.
- Uphold the management of pertinent company documentation.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Business. Significant industry experience and training are advantageous.
- 2-5 years of substantial experience in Business Development and Sales within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Candidates should possess strong connections within the industry and a deep understanding of the driving forces behind key markets.
- Must be a resident of Lagos Island.
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in written and oral communication, as well as presentation skills.
