1). Legal Compliance Manager (Microfinance Bank)

Location: Lagos

JOB SUMMARY

  • As a Compliance Manager, you will provide guidance and support to the Legal & Compliance department on compliance and other related matters and ensure the company’s compliance with all regulatory and statutory obligations/requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. previous experience in the financial industry is preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with at least 3 years in a senior position/role.
  • Compliance experience in a CBN-regulated entity.
  • Masters’ degree will be an advantage.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to be adaptive, flexible and collaborative.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide sound advice on compliance matters to the organization as well as its various business units and departments.
  • Review internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all applicable statutory or regulatory requirements.
  • Drive awareness and compliance with regulatory and statutory directives and requirements.
  • Liaise and engage regulatory bodies/authorities on the organization’s behalf.
  • Keep abreast of, monitor and analyze regulatory trends and changes in regulatory directives, rules and regulations.
  • Assist the Chief Legal Officer with any other duties or projects as required.

2). EVENT PLANNER

Location: Lagos

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Planning: Coordinate all aspects of events, from initial concept to execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and logistics.
  • Vendor Management: Secure and manage vendors such as caterers, venues, entertainers, and equipment rentals.
  • Communication: Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded
  • Team Leadership: Supervise event staff and volunteers, delegating tasks and ensuring everyone is working towards the event’s success.
  • Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during the planning and execution phases, finding creative solutions to ensure a seamless event.
  • Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of the event and identify areas for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience: Previous experience in event planning or management is required, preferably in a similar role or industry.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities for managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and details simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Budgeting: Knowledge of budget management and financial planning is important for creating and adhering to event budgets.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to think quickly and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Flexibility: ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work well under pressure is essential.
  • Creativity: A creative mindset to help in designing unique and memorable events that stand out to clients and attendees.
  • Team Management: Experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve common goals
  • BSC/HND and Professional Qualification

3). Public Relations Specialist

Location: Lagos

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop, implement and execute successful public relations campaigns and media relations strategies.
  •  Collaborate with internal teams and maintain open communication with management
  • Edit and update promotional material and publications (brochures,videos,social media posts etc)
  • Build relationships with new media contacts and maintain relationships with existing contacts.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases
  • Organize PR events and prepare key leaders for press interviews
  • Seek opportunities for partnerships,sponsorships and advertising
  • Address inquiries from media and other parties
  • Track media coverage and follow industry trend
  • Prepare and submit PR reports
  • Manage PR issues

QUALIFICATION

  • BSC/HND in communication, journalism,public relations ,marketing or related field
  • 5 years of experience in Public Relations ,Corporate Communications or similar role
  • Experience managing media relations • Background in researching,writing and editing publications
  • Proficient in MS office and social media
  • Strong Oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Strong working knowledge of a variety of public relations programs
  • Creativity and problem solving aptitude
  • NIPR certification ,PRCAN membership
