1). Senior Driver I
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Schedule: Contract
Duration: 6 months’ renewable
Duties
- Drive official vehicle within and outside Abuja.
- Convey scientist to field trips within Abuja and other states.
- Ensure all project vehicles are well maintained and clean.
- Ensure vehicle documents are up to date and fill vehicle logbook in a coherent manner.
- Perform any other job-related task as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
- National Diploma with six (6) years’ experience or O’level with a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience valid Drivers’ License performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
Competencies:
The ideal candidate must:
- Have excellent communication skills (writing, reading and speaking).
- Have good knowledge of defensive driving with excellent awareness of driving rules and regulations.
- Have ability to work under pressure.
- Have initiative and high moral, integrity, positive attitude and strong team spirit.

2). Mechanic
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Job Schedule: Contract
Duration: 3-year renewable contract
Duties
- Assist in servicing and repair of institute’s vehicles both petrol and diesel engine.
- Perform overhauling of vehicles components.
- Assist in preparing of vehicles for road worthiness.
- Recovery of breakdown vehicles and checking of vehicles for long trips.
- Assist in cleaning and maintenance of workshop and equipment.
- Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
Competencies:
- The ideal candidate must:
- Have ability to handle mechanical equipment in the workshop.
- Be computer literate with good initiative and have ability to work under minimal supervision.

3). Heavy Equipment Supervisor
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Job Schedule: Contract
Duration: 3-year renewable contract
Duties
- Work with the heavy equipment superintendent by coordinating and receiving work assigned for maintenance services.
- Schedule preventive maintenance and safety inspection for equipment and trucks with the assistance of Heavy Equipment Superintendent.
- Keep down time very low by constant inspection of equipment, diagnose and repair of mechanical defects/failures in various heavy/earth moving equipment including diesel and petrol powered trucks and other mechanical equipment used in utility work.
- Carry out spot checking equipment for optimum performance and make necessary repairs to equipment prior to use and ensure adequate availability of these equipment.
- Assist in keeping complete records for equipment and spare part in stock for repairing purposes.
- Monitor operational activities of subordinate staff in the section.
- Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- BSc / HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
Competencies:
The ideal candidate must:
- Have experience in repair/overhauling and maintenance of all kinds of earth moving equipment, heavy duty trucks, generators and tractors.
- Have a good team working and communication skills.
