Title: Video Editor and Animator

Location: Lagos

Position Overview

• The Video Editor and Animator will be responsible for developing and producing creative and visually appealing videos and animations that align with our brand and support our marketing and communication efforts.
• This role is both creative and technical, and requires a candidate who can balance artistic vision with an understanding of current technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our marketing and design teams to conceptualize and create high-quality video content.
• Edit and assemble recorded video footage, ensuring continuity and coherence.
• Develop and design animations that engage and inform our audience.
• Add effects, music, voice-overs, and other post-production touches to enhance visual appeal.
• Ensure that all materials adhere to brand guidelines and are optimized for various platforms.
• Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Maintain an organized digital archive of all media.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in video editing and animation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Animation, Media Arts, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience in video editing and animation.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, etc.
• Strong animation skills, particularly in 2D or 3D software such as Blender, Maya, or Cinema 4D.
• Excellent visual and storytelling skills, with an eye for detail and design.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• A portfolio demonstrating relevant skills and creativity.
