• A pioneer news media house covering news & events from the cryptocurrency industry and blockchain technology is searching for a Chief Editor to oversee the development of all material for the website. You must have the capacity to lead a team, exercise sound judgment, have excellent writing abilities, and pay close attention to detail in order to be successful as our Video Journalist.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

• Shoot, edit, and produce high-quality video content for news stories, features, and interviews.
• Develop creative and visually appealing storytelling techniques to enhance the impact of video content.

Story Research and Development:

• Research and stay informed about current events, trends, and issues to identify compelling story ideas.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to develop and pitch unique and engaging video stories.

Field Reporting:

• Conduct on-site reporting and interviews to gather first-hand information for video stories.
• Collaborate with reporters and other team members to ensure comprehensive coverage of events.

Scriptwriting:

• Write clear, concise, and engaging scripts to accompany video content.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure accuracy and adherence to journalistic standards.

Equipment Management:

• Manage and maintain video equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
• Stay updated on advancements in video technology and recommend equipment upgrades as needed.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the editorial team, photographers, and other journalists to coordinate coverage and storytelling efforts.
• Collaborate with the digital and social media teams to optimize video content for various platforms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Video Journalist or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
• Strong storytelling and scriptwriting skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of journalistic ethics and standards.
