  • As a Field Engineer, you will serve as the primary link between our on-site teams and our clients. As part of our Early Career Program as a Field Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with crew members to deploy tools and services, which includes liaising with customers and shore-based Operations Managers.
  • Engaging in problem-solving at the rig site to address complex technical challenges through hands-on work.
  • Preparing, documenting, and managing the inbound and outbound equipment and products, including those to and from well sites.
  • Providing support for tendering processes, including data analysis and cost estimations, and participating in invoicing activities.
  • Participating in job shadowing opportunities to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business.

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (any field), Mathematics, Chemistry, Geosciences, or a related discipline, obtained within the last 36 months.
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent.

  • In this role, you will lead and oversee teams across functions and regions, focusing on delivering Light Well Intervention (LWI) solutions to customers in the region. As the Project Manager for Light Well Intervention, you will plan, coordinate, monitor, and oversee LWI projects and campaigns to meet defined requirements. Responsibilities: As a Project Manager for Light Well Intervention, your responsibilities include:

  • Leading the execution of Light Well Intervention Projects to achieve Customer and Baker Hughes goals.

  • Meeting or surpassing margin targets as determined by the Business and avoiding Liquidated Damages (LDs).

3). Control Field Specialist – Industrial & Energy Technology (IET)

Job Description

As a Control Field Specialist in the IET business, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting control panel commissioning, logic modifications, loop and functional checks, panel certification, and upgrades.
  • Providing technical guidance and supervision to clients regarding BH rotating equipment, including HDGT, Aero GT, and Compressors.
  • Overseeing troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup activities of BH products, particularly HDGT, Aero GT, and Compressors, related to Control engineering during outages.
  • Establishing direct communication with BH Engineering to address matters concerning equipment reliability, operations, maintenance, and failure analysis.
  • Offering direction and support to workgroups to achieve assigned objectives.
  • Coordinating and supervising field site work, ensuring high-quality service delivery to customers.
  • Collaborating with fellow crew members on the installation and maintenance activities of Customer Equipment in the Field at Customer Sites.
  • Executing all required responsibilities safely and as per instructions from direct supervisors, adhering to all IET Service applicable processes and procedures.
  • Providing comprehensive records of all activities carried out at Customer Sites to the Baker Hughes IET Supervisor and fostering and upholding positive team relationships.
  • Offering recommendations based on findings and evaluating the effectiveness of maintenance actions to identify future requirements.
  • Managing the overhaul, troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-up of rotating equipment (Baker Hughes portfolio products) at customer sites.
  • Coordinating the cleaning, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job.
  • Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Core Values, including Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Quality, and Compliance.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in Turbomachinery Controls systems and field instrumentation.
  • Demonstrate strong working experience with at least two of the following GE/BH control systems: MKV, MKVI, MKVIe, Rx3i, GE Fanuc.
  • Show experience in commissioning and startup of GE or BH Turbomachinery equipment with Speedtronics MKV, MKVI, MKVIe, RX3i, or GE Fanuc control systems.
  • Be capable of working independently as a Control specialist and field Instrumentation specialist.
  • Have experience working on Turbomachinery equipment, including Heavy Duty Gas Turbines, Aeroderivative Gas Turbines, Centrifugal compressors, etc.
  • Be willing to travel for work up to 70% of the time.
  • Possess strong Functional/Technical, Customer Focus, Communication, Interpersonal, and Teamwork skills.
