Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensuring company’s growth objectives are attained through articulating new business development opportunities and identifying, negotiating and managing relationships in line with corporate goals.
- Lead the formulation, execution and monitoring of company’s business development, market penetration strategies and plans for enhancing business growth.
- Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth.
- Oversee strategy implementation through integrating various functional activities and ensuring adherence to an operational framework of policies and procedures in order to optimize service delivery.
- Participate in client proposal/contract negotiations as required.
- Attend conferences, meetings, and relevant industry events to gain insight on industry trends and developments.
- Monitor and achieve sales revenue volumes against budgeted targets, monitor forecast and other sales management information.
- Responsible for annual development of sales & marketing budget and plan in coordination with company budget and strategy.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationship with new and existing clients that are in alignment with company goals and strategies.
- Identify, negotiate and manage strategic relationships.
- Evaluate client needs, develop client relationships and implement sales strategies to progress the relationships.
- Mentoring team members for improved performance individually and corporately.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in any related Engineering discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of up-coming and on-going key projects in the upstream sector of the Oil and Gas industry.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry
- Previous sales engineer or account manager experience would be an added advantage
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to advice and persuade clients
- Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills.
- Proven experience of working with minimum supervision.
- Exceptional mentoring and people management skills.
