Title: Senior HR Manager
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Position Overview:
- As Senior HR Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing human resources strategies to support our organization’s objectives.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the maritime industry, a proven track record in HR management, and a commitment to driving organizational growth through effective people management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, talent management, performance management, employee relations, and compliance.
- Partner with senior management to identify current and future organizational needs and develop appropriate HR solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing employment practices within the maritime industry.
- Lead and mentor the HR team to deliver high-quality HR services and support to all employees.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Chartered membership of a recognized HR professional body (e.g., CIPM, SPHRi).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the maritime industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations relevant to the maritime sector.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive organizational performance and growth.
