1). Team Lead, Workplace Banking (Secured Lending)
Location: Lagos
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and supports existing business relationships while sourcing additional business prospects.
- Researches to identify prospective employees of corporations.
- Actively guides the efforts of the sales force.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote products and services within the boundaries of approved budget.
- Serves as an advisor and business partner to the sales force.
- Conduct product training on workplace banking products.
- Undertake proposition & product pitch and organize periodic employee engagement sessions in approved Workplace Banking schemes/employers.
- Maintains and submit reports for business development activities as well as management reporting.
- Responsible and accountable for risk management of his/her business & portfolio.
- Work with the SBUs to identify new markets that present opportunities for Business.
- Consistently review the existing Products (monthly, Quarterly and Annually).
- Attend and make presentations at various SBUs monthly/quarterly performance review sessions
- Attend joint marketing calls with relevant BUs to provide adequate product and marketing support.
- Ensure the profitability of existing and new products.
- Ensure that all consumer asset products have NPLs within tolerance level (currently 5% of the total products portfolio).
- Work with CAP, CRM, CAM, Operations, IT and other SRFs to ensure effective deployment of resources to support market facing SBUs for effective products sales.
- Attend and supervise User’s Acceptance Test (UAT) sessions and ensure that test results conform with approved products terms and conditions.
- Oversee Consumer Products life cycle, from inception to launch, to evaluation/refinement and final withdrawal.
- Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Head, Personal Banking.
- Develop & implement strategies for the effective monitoring/tracking of Products.
- Work closely with M&CC, SBU and other stakeholders to ensure FirstBank’s Consumer products are highly visible in the market.
- Initiate promotional activities/schemes in conjunction with reputable OEMs – auto, home appliances, device vendors that are aimed at selling these products in a smart and creative manner.
- Establish and maintain close business collaborations with Corporate & Commercial Banking RMs, to increase Payroll/Workplace Banking share within their managed key account segments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Minimum Education: First Degree.
- Post graduate qualification in Business Administration and related certifications in Digital Product Management, Business & Data Analytics would be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum Experience – 5 years of general banking experience.

2). Product Manager, USSD (894 Banking)
Location: Lagos
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver presentations on USSD Banking products, features and benefits to new and prospective clients as well as internal customers to promote sales and product development.
- Identify opportunities and obtain new mandates from Billers and Service providers to enrich the USSD Banking Service Bouquet of products.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional/industry publications (e.g. GSMA, Fintech, NCC, CBN) and establishing personal networks.
- Update product policy document with new products, processes and characteristics as necessary.
- Monitor product implementation and deployment with relevant stakeholders, and training of customer-engaging staff on new products and processes.
- Review and propose solutions and enhancements to product development and usage.
Research, Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze data of competitors, industry, existing and target markets
- Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, special reports and analysis.
- Identify opportunities for product innovation enhancements.
- Work with internal stakeholders and/ or external research agencies regarding product development and management
Product Planning and Management
- Prepare product documents including Market Requirement Documents and product use cases to drive product activity.
- Develop pricing strategies and product policies.
- Determine product packaging solutions.
- Manage and negotiate with support vendors.
Product Marketing
- Support and manage product event campaigns to generate product awareness and demand.
- Support sales team (Retail Banking & Public Sector) and Regional Officers with the necessary product knowledge (proposals/RFPs/RFEs and technical expertise.
- Prepare and conduct product presentations; develop sales tools and sales training materials.
- Provide inputs for marketing collateral development.
- Supply sales teams with latest research and marketing information.
Customer and End-User Support
- Manage product-related support, feedback and inquiries from users.
- Determine customers’ needs and desires by conducting research needed to obtain market information.
- Continuously review industry trends and client feedback to anticipate future market needs.
- Use market feedback to inform product refinement and guide ongoing development and management.

Education
- Minimum Education:First Degree in any relevant discipline. Additional Professional Certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum experience: 4-6 years cognate experience (Financial Services/Telecommunications).
