1). Inventory Management Supervisor

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Inventory Management Supervisor is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels.
  • You will oversee the daily activities of the inventory transactions, analyze inventory data, and ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies, as well as assist in the ordering and replenishment of inventory.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and issue store items after ensuring proper and adequate documentation.
  • Create/maintain a catalogue of goods in stock, their description and location to facilitate easy retrieval.
  • Determine inventory demand and maintain adequate inventory levels at all times.
  • Conduct regular stock inventory exercises noting materials that are out of stock and prepare periodic activity reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities and transactions.
  • Prepare agreed activity and performance reports on a timely basis, for the attention of the Store Manager and other relevant parties.
  • Ensure thorough inspection of received, stored & dispatched goods to avoid discrepancies.
  • Develop unique strategies for and coordinate inspection of goods delivered to prevent discrepancies.
  • Identify visibly damaged stock on receipt and follow laid down policies in reporting/treating such.
  • Obtain necessary sign-offs on delivery documents from delivery personnel/suppliers as an acknowledgement of receipt.
  • Determine appropriate space and location for the receipt of stock
  • Understand the nature of stock to be delivered, and determine and prepare necessary conditions for smooth and speedy stock receipt.
  • Provide regular reports/updates as required for management attention.
  • File documents and correspondence, and maintain security of documents about requisition, procurement, etc.
  • Testing and comparison with specifications mentioned in the purchase order.
  • Ensure safe custody of materials in the store.
  • Notify the store manager of out-of-stock materials and materials below the minimum stock.
  • Coordination with custody, risk management and codification groups in stores.

Education and Work Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Numerical Sciences, or Accounting.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in a technical store environment.
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of inventory valuation and management tools, concepts and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of public procurement laws and regulations.
  • An analytical mind with strong numerical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.

2). Subject Matter Expert (Instrumentation & Control)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • The primary role of Subject Matter Expert-Instrumentation & control (SME-I & C) is to provide high-level expertise and professional advice on the design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance and end-of-useful-life decision-making of all Instrumentation & control assets; necessary to maximize overall asset performance, in a safe, profitable and sustainable manner.
  • The job holder will ensure that all risks associated with the design and operation of instrumentation & control assets are identified and permanently maintained at an accepted level, in compliance with Asset Management Philosophy and Strategy Document for 1.32GW Egbin Power Plant, HSE and relevant referential documents.

The responsibilities include three major areas:

  • Lead the development of engineering standards for all instrumentation & control equipment.
  • Ensure that company engineering standards for instrumentation & control assets satisfy the minimum requirements of the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) and other regulatory/statutory agencies.
  • Continuously update company engineering standards (instrumentation & control category) to adapt to changes in the operating environment and industry and global best practices.
  • Develop and implement a framework for the incorporation of new energy in the business such as digitalization and decarbonization.

Plant Integrity:

  • Identify all Critical Equipment (Instrumentation & control assets), based on guidelines from the Head, Technical Solutions & Standards, Risk Management, Plant Integrity & Technical Assurance.
  • Verify that the Critical Equipment Register (CER) is in place and updated.
  • Ensure that equipment criticality set in the various risk-based processes (RBI, RCM, CE Register) is updated.
  • Assist in the development of the Asset Integrity Framework for Egbin Power Plc.
  • Develop planned Preventive Maintenance (PMs) for all Instrumentation & control assets.
  • Develop a framework for the deployment of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) for Instrumentation & Control Assets.

Technical Assurance:

  • Conducts risk assessments (instrumentation & control category) associated with anomalies and incidents. Advise on integrity threats.
  • Contribute to the establishment of long-term strategic planning and short-term operational planning especially for Instrumentation & control assets
  • Participate in meetings and update meeting action log. Ensure that during AIRT meetings, criticality ratings and priorities for Instrumentation & control assets allocated to the various integrity issues and their resolution is updated, recovery plans are in place and progressed, and discipline indicators and integrity KPIs are updated.
  • Attend the Asset Integrity Management Meeting chaired by the Head, Technical Solutions & Standards, Risk Management, Plant Integrity & Technical Assurance.
  • Assist the Head Plant Integrity and Technical Assurance to develop executive review for Instrumentation & control assets, of the affiliate performance on Integrity, focusing on high-level KPIs, major threats and critical action plans. Advise on trends.
  • Establish or actively contribute to the establishment of (a) management system(s) that verifies that key asset processes are properly implemented, anomalies recorded and ranked as per their criticality, and remedial measures are progressed until closure, thus providing a positive assurance of integrity.
  • Contribute to the establishment of a Management of Change (MoC) process and follow up action plans until change approval
  • In close liaison with other SMEs, establish the key measures and indicators that will allow monitoring integrity performance continuously, aligned with the guidelines set.
  • Lead/participate in Incident Investigations
  • Monitor the performance of the Asset Integrity management processes by organizing regular reviews and self-audits. These audits shall be based on pre-established protocols being part of the Asset Integrity Verification Process (AIVP).
  • Participate in RBI reviews
  • Participate in the preparation of Capital and Operating budgets for Inspection.
  • Monitor and oversee the execution of overhauls, major repairs, Capital Asset Replacements (CAR), inspection programs and activities.
  • Witness and participate in all statutory inspections
  • Ensure that Critical Tasks related to Asset Integrity-Process Safety Management (AI-PSM) are undertaken and executed.
  • Perform root cause analysis and failure investigation on systems and equipment, as required
  • Assist in the coordination of major shutdowns and turn-around activities.

QHSE:

  • Ensure awareness, understanding and application of QHSE policy on assigned jobs, ensure the integration of the IMS requirements (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 & 45001:2018) into the departmental processes;
  • Engage, direct and support persons /units/departments to understand and identify hazards, risks, environmental aspects and Impacts as it is related to their jobs.
  • Ensure that the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 & 45001:2018) achieve its intended results within departmental processes.

Requirements
The minimum requirements for the role are:
Core Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum of 17 years experience in large-scale (public) power plant, hydrocarbon-producing asset or direct OEM experience, at least five of which must have been spent in engineering design.
  • Proficiency in the design of burners; Turbine Supervisory Instruments (TSI); electronic control cards; control valves and drives; controllers; switches, transmitters and other I & C equipment. Experience in the operation and maintenance of these equipment groups will be an added advantage
  • Proficiency in the application of international instrumentation & control engineering codes and standards
  • Membership in cognate professional associations such as IEEE, IET, etc. will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in all following areas and proficiency in at least 2: Maintenance, Operation, Design Engineering, Asset Integrity, Technical Assurance, and Quality Management.

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in English language

3). Senior Discipline Electrical Engineer
