Title: Project Officer/Assistant

Locations: Lagos and Ota – Ogun

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Description

  • This is a full-time, on-site, 18-month role at Bread of Life Development Foundation in Lagos for an oncoming donor funded project.
  • The Project Officer, will oversee and coordinate a WASH in Schools project in Lagos State; including planning, implementation, reporting, and monitoring.
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders comprising
  • government officials, community leaders, and school management authorities, conduct formative research, facilitate workshops, and contribute to project reporting and documentation.
  • You will lead a team of project assistants working in several Local Government Areas in the state to implement the project in selected schools.
  • Ten part-time Project Assistants are required to assist in the implementation of the project in ten LGAs in Lagos State. Kindly indicate your preference in the application either for Project Officer or Project Assistant

Qualifications

  • Degree in English language, Journalism, or development-related discipline.
  • Proven experience in managing and implementing projects for NGOs.
  • Previous Teaching experience in Schools or/and interest working with children
  • Strong writing and speaking skills in the English language.
  • Computer Competency and ability to write excellently formatted reports using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene issues
  • Excellent project management, and organisational skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in conducting research studies
  • Strong monitoring and evaluation skills
  • Good coordination and leadership skills and ability to solve complex challenges in a team
  • Workshops facilitation skills
  • Marketing and fundraising skills
  • Ability to work hard, availability for work, dilligence, eye for perfection, and godly character
  • Residency in Lagos,and good knowledge of the metropolis.

Salary

  • N120,000 – N220,000 / month.
